L.A. Perkins Installed as President of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association

L.A. Perkins was installed as President of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association by Judge Charles Burton during a Zoom virtual meeting along with other Officers and Directors on Saturday, May 16, 2020. The 59th Annual Installation Gala was rescheduled for October 10, 2020, as a result of the Coonavirus Pandemic.
During her tenure, Perkins will continue to engage in efforts to increase the diversity of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association’s membership, offer programs that educate members on racial bias, promote access to the justice system and be an important resource and voice to the community. And, as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic, she wants to ensure members have the information they need to keep practicing and have a strong support system to keep members connected. Perkins will emphasize communication, education, digital technology and infrastructure, as well as mental health and wellness for the members of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association.
Ms. Perkins has served on the Board of Directors of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association for more than 10 years. She has also held several leadership roles including Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property law Committee, the first Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, President-Elect, Treasurer, and Secretary.
Ms. Perkins has a strong record of community involvement and is an experienced trial attorney. She is a Brand Protection Strategist who helps entrepreneurs identify and protect their intellectual property assets so they can avoid costly mistakes and increase the value of their business.
The South Palm Beach County Bar Association is a non-for-profit voluntary bar association established in 1960.
